The Children’s Museum of Tampa will be building a NEW museum in downtown Tampa near the new Tampa Museum of Art and the Performing Arts Center.  The New Museum will provide an environment unlike any other in the Tampa Bay Region to engage and inspire children through hands-on interactive exhibits in a space just for kids that will focus on early childhood education, cultural diversity and literacy. 

We believe that the Museum should be representative of the Tampa Bay Region from the very beginning of this new venture.  Adults and children from our community are receiving invitations to participate in the initial planning of the new Children’s Museum.  We will be holding a variety of “Imagining” sessions to gather a regional perspective.  These are sessions where you will be invited to share your vision of a new Children’s Museum for our community – What would you like to see in exhibits?  In spaces?  What is special about the community that you feel should be represented?  We want your input.
