Sandy’s Contract for Hillsborough County
I promise to work hard for the citizens of Hillsborough County by reducing the county budget, eliminating duplicated or unnecessary services and ensuring that our economic development efforts produce results.
Fiscal Responsibility
I will work with citizens of Hillsborough County, my fellow board members and the administration to ensure that all tax revenues are being utilized in the most effective and responsible manner possible.
- I will not support tax increases.
- I will call for 5% reduction in budget for the next four years, including commissioner salaries.
- I will work to require the budget be performance based.
Government Efficiency
I will work to find and eliminate waste within county government by focusing on creating efficiency, reducing budgets and eliminating duplication.
Economic Development
I will work to strengthen our efforts for economic development and job creation by collaborating with the business community to ensure our efforts will be held accountable and produce reportable results.
- I will work to improve the opportunities for recruitment of fortune 500 companies to relocate to Hillsborough County.
- I will work to provide local small businesses opportunities to grow.
- I will require that our economic development efforts are held accountable.
